Sebastian has started to draw a set of 6 new Blues legends. Here is the first drawing of "Son House". Pencil on paper, 42 x 59,4 cm (16 x 23 inches). In the coming weeks we will present new Blues drawings by Krüger so stay tuned.

In the past 12 months Sebastian Krüger has completed six paintings of 'Blues Legends', commissioned by one of Sebastian's most important art collectors and supporters - Mark Parker ( President & CEO of NIKE ). Parker has an extensive art collection featuring important works from artists such as Andy Warhol, Robert Crumb, Robert Williams, Rick Griffin, Tom Sacks, Basil Wolverton, Mark Ryden, Von Dutch, Todd Schorr and many more. His collection may be regarded as the largest of its kind. Earlier Parker had acquired other important key paintings from Sebastian such as "Mick Jagger with Microphone and Saliva String", "Stones 40/40", "Keith - London Calling", Jimi Hendrix and others. The original order of 6 'Blues Legends' commissions have recently been extended to eight, so there are more to follow. 20 Artists from 7 countries came to Barsinghausen/Germany to join Krüger's 2008 Professional Artists' Workshop. Krüger presented his latest artworks followed by a technical seminar. Then Sebastian gave a live painting demonstration during the following 3 days. Krüger titled his demo painting "Ready for the Rock 'n Roll hall of foam!". Throughout the workshop all participants practiced painting with acrylics. In 2009 Krüger is offering Workshops in both the USA and Germany.

Plenty of people came to enjoy the Krüger collectors' night in Gallery 319 to see Sebastian and his latest works in person. During the night Sebastian signed more than 200 books for his collectors and fans. A special guest, the former Guns ´n Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin was there to meet Sebastian. Many thanks to Michele and her team for the memorable evening.
There will be a Krüger exhibition on June 27th and 28th at Gallery 319 in Santa Monica, California. Krüger will exhibit new works and new limited edition prints. Here Sebastian Krüger's new book "FACES" will make it's public US debut. Krüger will fly in from Germany to attend the two night event; the private collectors' night on the 27th and the public viewing on the 28th. Dear Artists, Colleagues and Friends: Krüger's 2007 workshop for professional artists was a huge success. Registration is now open for the 2008 Krüger workshop! This year's workshop will take place September 15-19, 2008 at the Sporthotel Fuchsbachtal in Barsinghausen, Germany (close to Hanover Airport and Krüger's home). The main focus of the 2008 workshop will be preparation for portrait painting and working with acrylics. The deadline to register for the 2008 workshop is April 30, 2008.
